About

Welcome, I am a traditionally trained acupuncturist with a keen interest in nutrition and natural therapies. I enjoy working extensively in all aspects of women's health.

As a long term member of the Mother-WelI team I have built up many years’ experience specialising in a wide range of pregnancy and fertility related disorders. I also like to work closely in pre-conception and pre-labour phases to enhance natural health and wellbeing.

Over years of practice the benefits in the use of acupuncture for relaxation and rejuvenation have been clear. Utilising traditional methods I have developed treatment strategies incorporating reflexology, facial rejuvenation and hot stone placement to aid in the restoration of health and vitality.

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a highly developed and trusted holistic health system in use for over four thousand years. Via carefully selected points acupuncture encourages the body to improve function and promote natural healing. Points are selected following a professional consultation allowing and informed holistic approach. Moxibustion or cupping may be incorporated into the treatment strategy when appropriate, to enhance treatment outcomes.

Cupping:  Glass cups are applied onto the skin surface by way of a vacuum using heat or air extraction methods. Cups are used over large muscle groups to promote circulation and to improve the flow through the channels. This therapy will improve the supply of nutrients to the muscles thereby initiating the healing process and reducing aches and pains.

Moxibustion:  Treats and prevents disease by applying heat to selected points or certain locations on the body. Heat is applied using a stick of burning compressed herb called Mugwort which is held above the skin surface to impart a warming and stimulating effect.

Women's Health

Pregnancy:  pre-labour preparation, restless legs, back pain, reduced foetal growth, miscarriage, morning sickness, reflux, swellings, painful joints, overdue, pre and post-labour support

Fertility:  pre-conception care, infertility, IVF support, pre and post embryo transfer

Menstruation:  painful periods, irregularity, cessation of menses, pre-menstrual symptoms, heavy periods, headaches

Menopause:  poor memory, hot flushes, night sweats, tiredness, achy joints, uterine prolapse, urinary disorders, dull complexion

Other:  digestive disorders, aches and pains, migraine, insomnia, stress

Relax and Rejuvenate

Relaxation:  Acupuncture harmonises body function, resulting in reduced tension and stress leading to improved mental function and vitality.

Facial rejuvenation:  As beauty is from within, body treatments coupled with facial rejuvenation points aim to reduce muscle tension in the face, improve the complexion and reduce visibility of wrinkles.

Reflexology:   Utilises pressure points on the feet to relax and restore the body.

Seasonal:  Seasonal treatments tailored to the climactic changes aid to restore balance, build and maintain the immune system reducing onset of illness and optimizing health.
